Pragmatic Software Company Inc. announced major enhancements in the new release of Atrium version 3.12, a web-based project collaboration tool for the Architectural and Engineering Industries. Atrium version 3.12 now sports a quick search function that allows clients to search for information without using the advanced filter screen.   "With the new quick search feature, a client can enter search phrase(s), choose the fields to search and press GO.  If more advanced Boolean searches are needed, the client can use our advanced filter screen", says Steve Miller, President of Pragmatic Software.  "The quick search feature was a direct suggestion from our client base, and we have already received many favorable emails regarding the new feature", adds Miller.

In addition to the quick search function, Atrium version 3.12 has been tuned for optimal performance.  "By enhancing our query engine, the application now performs 3 times faster than before.  Our average response time is now less than 2 seconds", says Miller.

Atrium allows architectural and design communities to collaborate by sharing documents (like CAD drawings, policy and procedure manuals, etc.).  Team members can also hold on-line discussions and use the Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) to track sales leads, employees, customers and other contacts.

Atrium was designed to drastically reduce shipping charges, as CAD Drawings and other documents can be uploaded to a central place without being sent via overnight mail.  As documents are uploaded, all team members have access to them any time of day and from anywhere in the world.  Some features that set Atrium apart from its competitors is the ability to brand the site to the client and to easily integrate the client’s existing site content into its features.
