SOFTWARE PLANNER POWERS ALM WITH RELEASE 9.0

Englewood, Colorado - November 3, 2008 - Pragmatic Software Company (http://www.pragmaticsw.com), a leading provider of application lifecycle management (ALM) solutions, announced today the immediate availability of Software Planner 9.0 (http://www.SoftwarePlanner.com) for managing all phases of the software development lifecycle.  Software Planner is a complete ALM solution -- offering management of requirements, project plans, test cases and defects.  Pragmatic provided a movie of the new features accessible at http://www.pragmaticsw.com/Movies.asp?Topic=OverviewSoftwarePlanner.

Software Planner 9.0 includes a completely redesigned user interface that provides an enhanced user experience with sharp graphics, powerful dashboards, and grouping capabilities.  Software Planner 9.0 provides AJAX driven screens, enhanced drag and drop capabilities, and an area for quickly accessing recently used items.  When adding new records, users can pull from recently used records -- reducing data entry.

Software Planner 9.0 provides a large number of configurable dashboards that show trending of requirements, test cases and defects -- and dashboards for analyzing the current state of the product portfolio.  The dashboards are Flash driven, allowing filtering, and users can drill and print the details from each graph.  Software Planner also provides a new grouping feature, allowing users to group their requirements, test cases and defects by up to the three levels of grouping and drill into each group of items.

Software Planner 9.0 has also been enhanced to integrate with the major automated testing tools including HP Quick Test Pro, Mercury Win Runner, Automated QA's Test Complete, Silk, Rational Robot, and Rational Functional Tester.  Users can launch automated test sets from within Software Planner and view the results of the run (and a complete log) from within Software Planner.

“We have invested heavily in Software Planner, redesigning the user interface with a fresh new look and concentrating on maximizing the usability of the software, says Steve Miller, President/CEO of Pragmatic Software.  "We worked with our automation partner (Star-QA http://www.Star-QA.com) to build integrators with HP Quick Test Pro, Automated QA's Test Complete, Silk, Rational Robot and Functional Tester.  Integrating automated testing with manual testing provides a well rounded testing solution for any software team.  In September, we won the 2008 Testers Choice Award which confirms that our product roadmap is right on target.", adds Miller.
